Job Description

Thank you for your interest in employment with Louisiana Tech University. The Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences at Louisiana Tech University invites applications for two tenure‑track positions to begin Fall 2026. Desired courses will depend on the applicant’s expertise and departmental needs but will include courses related to their area of expertise. The successful candidate will contribute to the department’s growing interdisciplinary collaborations with STEM disciplines on campus. The appointment will be 100% over the nine‑month academic year (September to late May). Salary and start‑up packages are competitive. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the candidate’s area of research and expertise. Aptitude for advising undergraduate psychology majors and/or doctoral and master’s students. Demonstrated ability to be research‑active. Contribute to interdisciplinary collaborations with STEM disciplines. Qualifications Hold a doctorate in a psychology subfield (Industrial/Organizational Psychology) by the time of hire. Current ABDs are encouraged to apply. Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the candidate’s areas of research and expertise. Aptitude for advising undergraduate psychology majors and/or doctoral and master’s students. Demonstrated ability to be research‑active. Commitment to high‑quality classroom instruction and student mentoring. Evidence that research experience and scholarship advance an understanding of cultural and individual diversity in society.
