About the Role

The Company is seeking a dynamic and innovative leader to serve as a full-time, 12-month, tenured professor and department chair. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic and administrative leadership, including the management of human resources, budget, academic programming, and fundraising. This role requires a Ph.D. in Counselor Education, School Psychology, or a closely related field, with a strong record of research, teaching, and service. The ideal candidate will have a background in a department related to counselor education and school psychology and experience in an administrative capacity within higher education. They must also have a demonstrated record of supporting faculty and students from diverse backgrounds, as well as skills in organization, planning, and administration. Key responsibilities for the professor and department chair at the company include leading the department in strategic planning, fostering a culture of quality scholarship and research, and promoting community-based partnerships. The candidate should be adept at leading and managing faculty, addressing departmental issues, and coordinating educational programs. Experience with national accreditation of graduate programs and a history of working with student experiential learning activities are essential. The role demands a candidate who is collegial, with a proven track record of interdisciplinary work, and the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships. The selected individual will be expected to lead the department in all aspects, from faculty and staff recruitment to budget planning, and to support the department's mission in teaching, research, and service.
