About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Administrative Officer for its Artificial Intelligence in Science Institute. The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight of all administrative operations within the institute, which has a strong focus on advancing research in the applications of artificial intelligence across various scientific disciplines. This role involves budgetary and financial management, including the management of federal and private contracts and grants, as well as short and long-term financial planning. The Chief Administrative Officer will also be involved in pre-award and post-award contract and grant management and will oversee human resources, including payroll for a diverse range of academic and non-academic staff. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge of university rules and regulations, particularly in the areas of budget, accounting, fund management, and personnel management. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, experience in contract and grant management, and the ability to handle a variety of administrative operational activities. A background in a university environment and a proven track record in financial analysis and reporting are essential. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with discretion, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate strong problem-solving and customer service skills. The position is hybrid and may require occasional evening or weekend work for institute events.
