Job Title: TEMP - Credentialing Specialist
Position Type: Temporary
Salary Range: $20 - $24/hour
Travel Required: None

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credentialing Specialist to support the credentialing and re-credentialing processes for Optometrists within our Credentialing Verification Organization. This temporary role involves ensuring timely enrollment with insurance providers, maintaining accurate provider data, and managing regulatory documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Submit credentialing and re-credentialing requests to the Credentialing Verification Organization.
• Facilitate Optometrist enrollment with insurance plans, including new and existing group agreements.
• Maintain accurate provider records in credentialing databases (Nucleus and VPoint).
• Ensure all regulatory and expirable documents for Optometrists are current and properly stored.
• Coordinate insurance company appointments and reappointments.
• Support delegated credentialing audits as needed.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of credentialing and insurance enrollment processes.
• Familiarity with credentialing monitoring practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Experience using CAQH ProView.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in credentialing and enrollment (training available for the right candidate).
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
• Analytical skills with the ability to research and interpret data.
