In partnership with the University of Arizona, the Division of Endocrinology at Banner University Medicine is actively recruiting a Program Director for their Fellowship program. The successful candidate will join an expanding division of Endocrinology and will support the clinical and educational missions of the College of Medicine-Phoenix and the Department of Internal Medicine-Endocrinology.

The selected individual will have responsibility, authority, and accountability for administration, operations; teaching and scholarly activity; as well as recruitment selection and fellow education in the context of patient care The fellowship program is a 2-year program with 3 fellows entering the program every year. The fellowship is a combined program at Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix and the Carl T. Hayden Veterans' Administration Medical Center-Phoenix. An enthusiastic commitment to teaching and mentoring is essential.

Some details include:

• Performs inpatient and outpatient clinical care
• IP consults on rotating basis
• Supervision and promotion of fellows
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows
• Conduct evaluations and disciplinary action
• Department will support Program Director with administrative time commensurate with duties

Minimum Qualifications:

• M.D. or D.O. degree
• Arizona medical license obtained by start date
• BC in Endocrinology
• 3+ years experience as an Academic Faculty

Preferred Qualifications:

• Significant Scholarly involvement
• Proven clinical and teaching skills
• Current/recent leadership involvement in a residency or fellowship program
