As a Registered Professional Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Hospitalist unit, you will play an essential role in the care and recovery of our patients. In this position, you will be responsible for assessing, coordinating, and managing the needs of assigned patients, focusing on their progress toward discharge during their acute care stay.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments and procedures, meticulously documenting care as per policy and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to accurately assess and identify patient conditions.
• Continuously assess and evaluate patient needs and their responses to care.
• Utilize sound nursing judgment in making patient care management decisions.
• Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administer prescribed medications as ordered and provide over-the-counter medications when necessary.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to establish a comprehensive Plan of Care for all patients.
• Guide and direct ancillary personnel while upholding the highest standards of professional nursing practice.

This role may require access to sensitive information, including HIPAA Protected Health Information. It is essential that all personnel practice confidentiality and only access information necessary to perform their duties.
