DFC is seeking an entry level healthcare data analyst to join a large healthcare-related business operations support contract. The team is seeking a driven individual with excellent critical thinking skills and high attention to detail who has a desire to work on complex data analytic and data management tasks, enjoys working in a fast-paced and regularly changing environment, and can effectively manage competing priorities. What the role requires:
- Collect, analyze, manage, and report on data from various sources and systems,
- Experience with manipulating and analyzing data using MS Access Power BI, SQL, SAS, or Python.
- Engaging directly with clients to understand their needs and providing guidance on appropriate analytical techniques to address research questions
- Developing and delivering presentations and executive briefings on findings internally and to clients.
- Providing operational support in a variety of capacities, including data integrity, quality assurance, monitoring, and reporting.
- Supporting efforts to develop processes for data quality assurance and reporting, including dashboards and data visualizations.
- Develop and implement a wide range of advanced qualitative and quantitative methods to assess and improve operational effectiveness,
- Providing viable reference material for users by writing and maintaining user documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Be responsible for understanding large data sets and leading and managing advance data techniques in support of emerging initiatives and projects.
What you need to be successful:
- 3 years or less of professional working experience.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Strong analytical, data visualization, presentation development, and writing skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-based environment.
- Ability to work independently and develop client relationships.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and a commitment to client service excellence.
- Federal government experience is preferred.
- Well-organized with the ability to handle several projects/clients simultaneously.
- Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to lead and facilitate client meetings, conference calls, and capture accurate meeting notes.
- Working knowledge of databases and programming languages such as SQL, SAS, R, or Python.
- Working knowledge of visualization software Tableau or MicroStrategy
Other important information:
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- Ability to obtain a US government security clearance, if needed, is required.
