Lighting Designer ( New York NY )
Support Principals and Senior Design Staff. Perform Research and Design development exercises. Performing photometric analyses. Conduct site observations and field work (photography). Creating, scheduling and attending mockups (in house and on site). Supporting various QA/QC protocols. Collaborate with other team members in the preparation of presentation and working drawings. Assist in the review and preparation of shop drawings and responding to RFIs. Participate in all phases of project development. Prepare presentation and design drawings. Under the guidance of senior staff, ensure that the design intent is maintained through the construction of the project and satisfies the needs of project requirements. Actively listen to client needs, envision end result with Principal, and discuss changes. Keep Senior Associates / Principals informed of project design progress.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Lighting Design
· 2 years’ experience as an Interior Architect or Lighting Designer
· Expert knowledge of AutoCAD, Illustrator, InDesign, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, AGi32, Rhino, Sketchup, Photoshop Hand‐drawing and drafting
· 5% domestic travel within the Northeast
