Job Description

Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly

What You’ll Do

As a Maintenance Mechanic at ProAmpac, you’ll play a key role in supporting our production operations by ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our machinery and facility systems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing repairs and preventative maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility infrastructure

  • Troubleshooting issues with mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems

  • Completing work orders and prioritizing tasks based on urgency and production needs

  • Collaborating with internal departments and external vendors to coordinate repairs and installations

  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance tasks, projects, and completion timelines

  • Following all safety procedures and contributing to a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment

  • Working independently and taking initiative to resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training a plus

  • 2–4 years of experience in equipment and facility maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing setting

  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, plumbing, and HVAC

  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices and CMMS software

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to read and follow instructions, technical manuals, and schematics

  • Physically able to bend, stretch, climb, and lift/move up to 50 pounds

  • Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork and safety
