Mid-funnel writing — B2B and B2C campaigns where the focus is less on big ideas and more on clarity, consistency, and execution

You are expected to be versatile across many types of messaging and able to manage multiple clients, projects, and assignments while maintaining the high standards Owen sets for creative work. Beyond writing, you will contribute at every stage of the project cycle, looking for opportunities to grow yourself and the agency. Collaboration, imagination, and detail orientation are critical to success in this role.

  • Confidence in presenting ideas clearly to internal teams and clients.

  • Take direction from project leads (Art Directors, CDs, ACDs).

  • Ensure all copy is accurate, complete, and ready for review.

  • Stay current on creative and cultural trends, bringing this awareness into your work.

  • Share knowledge and support the development of the writing team’s processes.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Strong conceptual thinking and executional writing ability across campaign types.

  • Ability to switch between creative storytelling and mid-funnel writing.

  • Skilled collaborator who thrives in team settings and client-facing situations.

  • Deep awareness of cultural context and competitive environments.

  • Detail orientation — from big-picture concepts down to grammar and word choice.

EXPECTATIONS FOR SUCCESS

  • Commit to consistently producing excellent copy.

  • Communicate honestly, directly, and with detail.

  • Push through creative challenges with flexibility and curiosity.

  • Research deeply and bring your unique experiences to inform creative solutions.

  • Be adaptable — ask for help when needed, lend a hand when others need support.

  • Sweat the details. The details are the final product.

  • Respect your teammates. Collaboration, empathy, and reliability are at the core of Owen’s culture.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Background: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Advertising, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
