JOB DESCRIPTION
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Designer to join their Engineering team. This role is 100% onsite and on the manufacturing floor. Daily responsibilities will include collaborating with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, supporting system processes, designing layouts, developing systems, and contributing to machine design. Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D and AutoCAD is required.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Designer
• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM related field (Preferred - Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Design)
• Experience with SolidWorks & AutoCAD
• Machine design and designing system experience Manufacturing background experience
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• PDM (Product Data Management) software experience or understanding
○ SolidWorks EPDM preferred
• HVAC or Refrigeration background
• Mechanical & Electrical Engineering background
