Job Description

Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelors Degree or military experience
2. At least 7 years of experience in application development
3. At least 4 years of experience in Java
4. At least 4 years of experience in Spring
5. At least 4 years of experience as a Technical Lead
6. At least 1 year of experience working on Cloud technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Masters Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
2. 1+ years of experience working with Big Data Technologies such as Apache Storm, Apache APEX, and Hadoop
3. 6+ years of experience in Java, Unix, Oracle, and SQL Server
4. 3+ years of experience in COTS products
5. 4+ years of experience in DBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server, including SQL scripting, tuning, and scheduling
6. Area-dependent developer certification (e.g., Sun Certified Java - Programmer/Developer, application vendor-specific certification)
7. AWS Cloud experience

Qualifications

Screening Questions:

1. Does this candidate have a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related area?
2. Does this candidate have at least 10 years of experience using Java?
3. Does this candidate have at least 1 year of hands-on experience with AWS?
4. Does this candidate have team leadership or people management experience?

Positions are available in McLean and Richmond.

We are seeking candidates with strong DevOps experience. For the McLean role, hands-on AWS experience is a plus.

Prior tech lead or management experience is also a plus.

These roles require individual contributors who will code daily.
