Alpenrose Dairy , a 100 year old iconic Portland brand, is looking for SR Human Resource Generalist/Recruiter. This position is a key member of our corporate HR department. We are lean team that has fun working collaboratively together and takes exceptional care of the managers and employees we are here to support.

This role oversees our corportate recruiting functions as well as new hire onboarding at our Clackamas location, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and counseling with managers and employees on company policies and practices.

Some of the fun areas of daily responsibility are:

• Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Facilitate written s.
• 1st point of contact for new hire onboarding in our Clackamas location, including preemployment drug test.
• Processes payroll as required and has a solid understanding of state and federal wage and hour law.
• Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
• Handles employment-related inquiries from agencies, applicants, employees, and supervisors, collaborating with the HR Director on complex and/or sensitive matters.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
• Writes and presents training programs.

Qualifications needed to be successful:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. PHR/SHRM-CP preferred.
• At least 3 years experience in a recruiting or HR generalist role.
• Amazing organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience using Paylocity HRIS/Payroll software is a bonus.
• Thorough knowledge of employment and wage related laws and regulations.
• Optimistic outlook & get it done attitude with a large does of humor on the side is required.
