Position OverviewThe Audio-Reader Network, an audio information service for individuals who are blind, visually impaired and print-disabled, is hiring a development and marketing intern to assist with event planning, donor stewardship, content creation and marketing.Job Description

- Stewardship (thank you calls, notes and dropping off gifts to donors)
- Help plan and implement fundraisers
- Solicit prizes for Audio-Reader’s golf tournament and other events
- Create written and online content for campaigns
- Help plan engagement opportunities
- Marketing
- Social media – create content and take pictures at events
- Help plan, set up, and work events
- Help create written and online content
- Other Duties
- Help at the Audio-Reader/KPR front desk
- Help prepare mailings
- Administrative duties as assigned
Required Qualifications - Proficiency with Microsoft Office software products, as evidenced by application materials.
- Consistent availability to work at least three partial days/week during regular business hours (M-F 8a-5p), as evidenced by application materials.
- Strong attention to detail as evidenced in application materials.
Preferred Qualifications - Previous experience working in an administrative/office setting, as evidenced by application materials.
- Previous experience in development and fundraising, as evidenced by application materials.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent audio editing software, as evidenced by application materials.
Position RequirementsDuring the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).Employment Conditions(1) Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR. (2) This is an hourly/non-exempt position.
