Major Function
This employee is responsible for providing support, leadership, and assistance in the design and
implementation of school programing and services at the school by providing students the necessary
guidance and related opportunities to improve participation and performance in their course of study while
successfully meeting graduation requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Determine schoolwide course needs & create the course schedules and individual student schedules
• Support the implementation of CTE course development and requirements
• Assists students in evaluating academic needs for progression toward graduation requirements, preparation
for postsecondary options.
• Provides leadership and support for student service initiatives, including post-secondary planning.
• Developing and providing services to students to assist them in meeting/achieving their educational,
vocational, and personal-social needs and goals.
• Responsible for the implementation of the Tier-1 schoolwide SEL programs and events (to include Start
with Hello Week, Random Acts of Kindness Week, National Bullying Awareness Month, etc).
• Assists to increase learning levels for students at risk in literacy, basic skills development, attendance,
behavior, and career-oriented curriculum content.
• Assists with the identification and support of students at risk of failing or leaving school prematurely, and
applies appropriate interventions, both instructional and auxiliary services.
• Works with school personnel to monitor and increase attendance among high-risk students, reduce truancy,
tardiness, and frequent absenteeism.
• Collaborate with Student Support Personnel to support students, using relevant data, to determine reasons
for low performance or the lack of interest/participation in the educational program
• Plan and facilitate the standardized exams required for college admissions (PSAT, SAT and ACT)
• Support Administration in the planning, scheduling and facilitation of state-standardized testing
• Supports Administration in the planning of the graduation ceremony (senior meeting, program submissions,
etc).
• Conducting informational programs/workshops for parents (college financial aid, grade level meetings, etc.).
• Regularly communicates progress and barriers to stakeholders.
• Assists teachers with implementing best practices and strategies with identified students.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
• Valid Florida Educator's Certificate in Exceptional Student Education, Reading Endorsement preferred
• Master's Degree or formal training in Educational Leadership preferred.
• Three years of increasingly responsible experience in classroom teaching required. Educational Leadership
experience preferred.
