This position offers an opportunity to support student learning and development in a K-12 educational setting in Augusta, ME. The role involves working closely with teachers and students to enhance classroom experiences and help meet individual student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in implementing instructional plans and classroom activities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support student behavior management and encourage positive social interactions.
• Assist with preparing instructional materials and classroom organization.
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to monitor student progress and adapt strategies as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience working in educational or childcare settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, flexibility, and a genuine commitment to helping students succeed.
• Ability to follow instructional guidance and work as part of a team.
• Understanding of K-12 student development and diverse learning styles is an asset.
• Relevant paraprofessional certification or training is beneficial but not always required.

Location and Duration:

• Position is based in Augusta, Maine.
• The role supports the entire school year (NSY) through a contractual agreement.
