Job Description

Summary/Objective

The Director of Titles will lead/manage the department, strategic planning and execution as well as annual, quarterly and monthly production forecasts. The individual in this role will need to be able to move easily between big picture, strategic thinking and operational problem solving as well as driving analytics that highlight and solve complex business situations. The Director of Titles will need to have an extensive title background, well versed in all aspects of titling motor vehicles and must possess the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing and fast paced environment as this Company is geared for rapid growth.

 

Essential Functions

  • Work with the titles leadership team to develop and implement system and operational workflow processes and enhancements to drive efficiencies for the titles team.
  • Knowledge of state specific title laws and requirements for repossession affidavits, repossession, duplicate, corrected titles and perfecting liens, specifically related to refinance.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departmental managers as a service-provider, and interact regularly with external sources such as auctions, lienholders, motor vehicle departments and vendors as a service-recipient.
  • Exercise appropriate judgement when making decisions within their scope of responsibilities.
  • Oversee and coach direct reports in the performance of their responsibilities, goal setting and KPIs. This includes issuing disciplinary and completing performance evaluations when required.
  • Collaborate with all departments to create transparency on goals and operation targets.
  • Experience selecting and managing third-party providers and establishing scalable operating models.
  • Passionate pursuit of automation and efficiencies within a high-volume environment.
  • Proven track record to thrive in a fast-paced environment under short timelines and competing priorities.
  • Protect information in accordance with Location Services Information Security Requirements.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or similar a plus
  • 10+ years relevant professional experience including two years in upper management

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are variable and based on business need. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand as well as 10% travel.

 

Physical Requirements

This position is indoors. Must be able to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period. May be asked to lift approximately 25 lbs. Exposure to moderate noise and light, i.e business office with computers, phone, printers, light foot traffic.
