Training and Development Manager – York, PA The Opportunity Our client, a unique and agile custom manufacturer working in a variety of industries, has engaged us to identify a Training and Development Manager for their York, PA location. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive training systems that align with the operational excellence framework and business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Ensuring primary focus on employee safety in training development Identifying training needs through job analysis and performance appraisals Developing training matrices aligning organizational design with skill needs Creating processes and metrics for monitoring training compliance Coordinating verification processes, ensuring effective knowledge transfer Conducting technical training on skills and abilities Developing and evaluating "train the trainer" programs Implementing and maintaining operator progression programs Owning Operations Administration program for supervisors and managers Administering learning management system for operational training Directing subject matter experts and content writers Owning production onboarding process and new hire evaluations Supporting commercial and customer interactions including audits Championing 6S LEAN culture and continuous improvement Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in an operational leadership role Demonstrated track record of developing others and executing training programs Excellent communication and leadership skills required Strong project management, time, and budget planning abilities Exceptional writing and record-keeping skills for manuals Proficient in Microsoft Office and learning management systems The preceding is just a brief overview, and if you’re interested in learning more, please let us know and we can arrange a conversation to provide more detail.
