Centra Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Clinic Psychiatric Director for a travel nursing job in Holyoke, Massachusetts.

Director of Nursing

Location: Holyoke, MA Schedule: Full-time 40 Hours

Adult and Adolescent inpatient psych experience required

Leadership experience required

Responsibilities:

• You are responsible for nursing clinical administration and supervision
• You will work in collaboration with the Medical Director and Program Director on fiscal management, creating and developing clinically sound, consumer-oriented services responsive to community need
• You will actively work with senior management and program staff to provide: policies, procedures, training, budget management and interventions
• Your contributions will promote sound management, high quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, continuous improvement and long-term fiscal solvency of the programs
• You are responsible for scheduling, orientation, problem solving, communication, staff education and evaluations
• You will assume delegated responsibilities in the absence of other senior managers

Qualifications: Education: RN license within the State of Massachusetts required; BSN required.

Experience: Previous psychiatric / substance inpatient experience required. CPR certification required. Restraint Reduction de-escalation / crisis intervention experience required.

Skills: The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to use critical thinking to make decisions and solve problems; have an advanced level knowledge of Behavior Health and Substance Abuse treatment modalities; applies nursing process from a Trauma Informed Recovery model of care; ability to develop a therapeutic relationship while maintaining professional boundaries; effective oral and written communication; sufficient typing and computer skills to facilitate use of Electronic Medical Record; crisis management, time management, delegating, coaching and team building skills; and be flexible, creative and able to manage stressful situations in a calm, organized and professional manner
