What is a Veterinary Patient Care Coordinator?

This vital role involves a wide range of duties, including clear client communication, scheduling management for smooth operations, providing educational support, auditing medical records, coordinating with other veterinary hospitals, and overseeing financial tasks. Our dedicated VPCC team works closely with the medical staff to create personalized care plans, coordinate services efficiently, and offer ongoing support to improve patient outcomes and client satisfaction. Success relies heavily on excellent communication skills to build trust, facilitate accurate information exchange, and coordinate multidisciplinary efforts, with a strong emphasis on hospitality and tact, to ensure a welcoming environment for clients and patients.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent or long-term position. This is not a temporary position.

Pay: Starting at $18.00 and up based on experience

What skills should I have?

Ideal candidates should possess a minimum of two years of relevant experience in veterinary settings, such as clinics, hospitals, or shelters, and are encouraged to apply if they have experience in human medical fields as well. The role emphasizes collaboration and teamwork, requiring strong leadership and customer service skills enabling you to make a significant positive impact on the lives of both patients and their people daily. Ideal applicants should be motivated, energetic, compassionate, eager to foster professional growth and contribute to a supportive workplace culture.

Applicant Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Dedicated excellence in client service
  • Have knowledge of principles and processes of animal handling, patient care and knowledge of common veterinary drugs
  • Focus on operational and organizational excellence.
  • Demonstrates patience and empathy, strengths needed for this position.
  • Possess high level computer skills to utilize various computer systems
  • Ability to maintain multiple-lined phone tree
